Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
  • Your photographic adventure begins as you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. You will be warmly welcomed by an Aardvark Tanzania Safaris representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. After settling in, attend a brief orientation with your professional photographic guide to discuss the exciting journey ahead and get tips on how to capture the best images during your safari.
  • Start your day early with breakfast before departing for Tarangire National Park. Known for its picturesque baobab trees and diverse wildlife, Tarangire offers a stunning backdrop for photography. Upon arrival, embark on a specialized photographic game drive, focusing on the park’s unique landscapes and resident elephants, giraffes, and predators. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walk to capture the park’s flora and fauna from a different perspective.

  • After a sunrise photo session in Tarangire, travel to the world-famous Serengeti National Park. As you enter the Serengeti, be prepared for incredible photographic opportunities, from vast plains teeming with wildebeest and zebras to the dramatic acacia-dotted landscapes. Spend the afternoon on a game drive, capturing the essence of the Serengeti’s wildlife and scenery. Your guide will help you find the best angles and lighting conditions for your shots.

Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
  • Dedicate a full day to exploring the Serengeti’s rich photographic offerings. Begin with a pre-dawn game drive to capture the magical sunrise and early morning animal activity. With the guidance of your photographic expert, focus on the dynamic interactions between predators and prey, and the stunning panoramas of the Serengeti. In the afternoon, visit a kopje (rocky outcrop) for unique photo opportunities of lions lounging on the rocks and expansive views of the plains below.

  • On your final day, leave the Serengeti and head to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend into the crater for a morning of unparalleled photographic opportunities. The crater’s unique ecosystem supports a high density of wildlife, providing the chance to capture images of the Big Five against a stunning natural backdrop. After a picnic lunch by a hippo pool, drive back to Arusha, reflecting on the incredible photographic moments of your safari. You will then be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight.
