Aardvark Safaris representative and transferred to your lodge where you will
enjoy a late night snack & restful night’s sleep before beginning your
adventure the next morning.
Overnight: Mount Meru Hotel

Day 2: Arusha – Katavi
Depart on an early morning flight from Arusha and arrive in beautiful Katavi
around mid-day. Once you’ve settled into your camp, you will enjoy a
relaxing lunch and a siesta. Later in the afternoon, you’ll head out for a
game drive to explore the area, stopping for a sundowner on the way back to
camp in time for dinner.
Overnight: Katuma Bush Camp

Day 3: Katavi
Early mornings in Katavi are hard to beat; get up early and head out of camp
on a game drive across the plains to look for the big herds of buffalo or
elephant that are often found there. Enjoy a bush breakfast before returning
to the camp for lunch and a siesta.
Fly camping at Katavi is a must-do, so how about spending a night camping
under the stars further out in the wild. Walk out to the camp, already set up
for your arrival, and enjoy ice cold drinks around the campfire, while gazing
at a star-filled sky and listening to the sounds of the surrounding
environment.
Overnight: Katuma Bush camp

Day 4: Chada Katavi
After a fully cooked breakfast and a short walk, head back to camp the slow
way, by taking your time to stop and look at game on the way. When you
return to camp, you will be served a delicious lunch and can then enjoy a
well-earned rest, before returning back out to the bush for an early evening
drive.
Overnight: Katuma Bush Camp

Day 5: Chada Katavi
Sometimes on safari it pays to lie-in. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee on the
verandah of your tent, and watch the birds, or a tentative bushbuck, or even a
herd of elephant, as they move through the camp on their daily business.
Spend the morning relaxing around the camp, taking in the beauty of your
surrounding area, before a delicious lunch and afternoon walk or game drive.
After a thrilling afternoon, you will return to camp for a memorable dinner
under the stars.
Overnight: Katuma Bush Camp

Day 6: Katavi – Ruaha
This morning after an early breakfast, board your scheduled flight and fly
southeast to the great Ruaha National Park. With its diverse landscape,
Ruaha is rich in big game and has herds of over 100 elephants that are seen
regularly! In addition to the elephants, big cats such as leopards, lions and
cheetahs, as well as some more unusual antelope such as sable and roan, can
all  be found here.
After you enjoy a leisurely lunch in camp, head out on an exploratory drive
in an open game-viewing vehicle, pausing for a picturesque sundowner near
an iconic Ruaha baobab tree.
Overnight: Kigelia Camp

Day 7: Kigelia Ruaha
Kigelia Camp is a simple, yet beautiful camp in the best wildlife area of the
park. Elephant are frequent visitors along with many bird species. Walks
between the giant baobabs and along the sand rivers in the area, are always
rewarding, especially if they end in a picnic! One of the most charming
things about Ruaha is that you will seldom see another car or person. You
will have this fantastic, wild place almost all to yourselves.
Venture out on a game drive after a snack and tea or coffee, in search of
predators on the prowl. You might be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the
striking & endangered African wild dog.
Overnight: Kigelia Camp

Day 8: Kigelia Ruaha
Rise with the sun to a cup of tea or coffee on your verandah before boarding
the vehicle for a full day out and about. Pause for a picnic lunch in the bush,
under a picturesque tree somewhere, and simply revel in the peace of the
African afternoon.
Return from your game drive for a lovely outdoor dinner under the stars in
the sand riverbed, where if you listen close enough, you might hear the call
of a leopard…
Overnight: Kigelia Camp

Day 9: Ruaha – Selous
Begin the day with an early drive to the airstrip to catch your flight over to
the Selous Game Reserve, in time for lunch. Relax and settle in before
taking a short sundowner boat trip up river, in search for hippos and
crocodiles or any other game you might see. When you return to camp, you
will enjoy a candlelit dinner in the main dining room, or around the pool,
where you can gaze at all of the spectacular stars.
Overnight: Sand Rivers Camp

Day 10: Sand Rivers Selous
Head out in the cool of the early morning and take a walk along the sand
riverbeds; having a cookout breakfast en route.
After lunch and a siesta or a swim, mosey out for a game drive in one of our
open cars, perhaps pausing to get out of the car and sneak through the bush to
see how close you can get to a herd of impala. Stop to relish and view the
beautiful sunset from a local vantage point, before heading back to camp for
a hot shower and delicious meal by the river.
Overnight: Sand Rivers Camp

Day 11: Sand Rivers Selous
Jump into the boat for a whiz up the river to Stiegler’s Gorge. As the river
narrows, find a sandbank to enjoy a picnic breakfast and relax with a rod in
the water. This enchanting spot is so different from the rest of Selous –
peaceful yet exciting. As the day warms up, hop back in the boat for a gentle
drift back down the river towards the camp. Spend the afternoon relaxing by
the pool and perhaps head out for a late afternoon drive to find the perfect
picturesque sundowner spot.
Overnight: Sand Rivers Camp

Day 12: Selous – Dar es Salaam
Enjoy a lazy start to your day with breakfast around the pool, and maybe a swim,
before your departure to the airstrip, taking you back to Dar es Salaam.

and a dayroom to prepare for your flight home this evening.
