Early-Morning Game Drive

As the sun rises over the savannah, we start our day with tea, coffee, and pre-breakfast snacks. Inspired by Peter Beard's description of Africa as "a paradise caressed by light and air," we embark on an early-morning game drive.

Breakfast in the Bush

Returning to the lodge, we enjoy a hearty English-style breakfast or a charming acacia-shaded picnic in the bush.

Exploring Tanzania’s Landscapes

Peter Matthiessen’s words, "Whole landscapes seem alert," capture our safari experience. Each sighting, from a majestic cheetah to a herd of elephants, transforms the land from mere scenery to a living, engaging entity, fostering a deep affection for the wilderness.

Sundowners and Sunsets

After a festive lunch filled with stories of the morning’s sightings and delicious safari cuisine, we relax with reading, music, or a refreshing nap and swim. Our afternoon game drive leads into a serene evening.

Evening Campfire and Sleep

Following a delightful dinner back at camp, we gather around the campfire before heading to bed. By morning, we agree with Elspeth Huxley: there is no "sleep so perfect as that stirred but not broken by the thrilling vibrance of a lion’s roar."
